History

A bank with experience

TeamBank is new – our history and our experience, however, are not. Since 1950 we have worked to fulfil the needs of our customers - through mergers and a variety of different names. In the course of time, however, not only our name, but also our vision has significantly changed. We would very much like to show you how.

Accompany us on a tour, from the first beginnings to the TeamBank of today:

1950:
 The Franken WKV Bank and the Hanseatische Kreditbank were founded and were the first forerunner institution of TeamBank.
 
1954:
 On August 16th the Noris Kaufhilfe, likewise a forerunner of TeamBank, opened its doors for the first time in Nürnberg.
 
1955:
In Hamburg the Norddeutsche Teilzahlungs-Bank was founded.
 
1968:
The Noris Kaufhilfe changed its business name to Noris Bank.
 
1977:
The Norddeutsche Teilzahlungs-Bank changed its name to the Verbraucherbank and was the first financial institution in Germany to introduce customer self-service.
 
1981:
Also the Verbraucherbank was the first German bank to provide online banking through BTX.
 
1985:
The Verbraucherbank and the Noris Bank merged to become the Noris Verbraucherbank.
 
1998:
On April 9th the norisbank AG appeared as a result of the merger of the Franken WKV Bank and the Noris Verbraucherbank. The Franken WKV Bank was the result of a merger between the Kreditbank Mainz, the Hanseatische Kreditbank and the Kreditbank Kiel.
 
1999:
In January the norisbank integrated the HSB.HYPO Service-Bank.
 
2000:
With the launch of their new Internet site in April, the norisbank AG became the first bank in Germany to provide, through easyCredit, instalment credit on the Internet with online instant-approval.
 
2003:
In July easyCredit becomes the first bank product worldwide to receive the TÜV-Seal of Approval. With effect from 1st October the DZ BANK became the new owner - thereby the norisbank became a member of the co-operative Finance Group.
 
2006:
On 2nd November the branches, customer accounts and the brand name "norisbank" incorporated into the Süddeutsche Bank GmbH, which from then on operated under the name of norisbank GmbH, Frankfurt am Main.
 
2007:
On 19th January TeamBank AG Nürnberg was born as a successor of the norisbank AG.
 
2008:
Since 20th May customers in Austria can also buy our fair instalment credit, easyCredit, on the Internet or in the branches of our partner bank.
